Verse reads, 'O may it be our highest aim, To choose the path that's right, Let virtue ore our actions reign, And guide our feet arright.'. Signed and dated 'Eliza Knowles. July 17th 1824'. A scattering of motifs, including potted flowering plants and a dog. Framed in an old wood frame with glass. Mounting: The sampler is glued to board. Frame backed with card and sealed with tape.
