Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-20. Signed and dated, 'Martha Jordan 1787'. A scattering of crown motifs. Framed in an old, black, ebonised wood frame with rippled, old glass. Mounting: The sampler is stitched to acid free card. Frame backed with paper and sealed with tape. The backing paper is taken from the original envelope that the sampler was found in. It has hand written script, 'For My beloved Martha with much Love ?'
