Framed in an old, possibly original, wood frame with glass. Stitched onto card backing.


The sampler has alphabets A-Z in uppercase.

Signed "Ann Brooks Work Aged 9".

Divider lines in a number of patterns.
The sampler is worked in silk thread throughout.
Green, blue, gold, silver, black, pink and copper colour threads used.
A set of traditional motifs, including potted flowering plants, dogs and deer.

CONDTION: Very Good.
No holes. No stains. No stitch losses.
Colours are all good and strong with no noticable fading.
The silks still have their original bright glossy sheen.
No colour run. No stretching.
The frame has some wear, illustrated,

but is structurally sound.
