George IV, dated 1827. 11.25ins high by 11.75ins wide. 1827 Woolwork Sampler by Rhoda Robson.
Framed in a modern wood frame with gilt slip and glass.

Loose mounted over a card with chip board backing.
The sampler is worked in wool on canvas ground, in cross stitch throughout.
Simple line border.
Colours red, yellow, light brown, pink, purple, olive green and pale blue.
Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-14.
Signed and dated
'Rhonda Robsons. 1827 sampler done in the 10 year of her age.'.
A few motifs including potted flowering plants,
crowns and flowering trees.
CONDITION: Generally Good.No holes. No stains other than slight uniform age darkening of the ground.
Some stitch losses to the border,
divider lines,
the signature,
one motif and a couple of the letters.
Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading.
No colour run.
Unevenly stretched.
Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
