Unframed.
The sampler is worked in fine silk on canvas ground, in cross stitch throughout.
Simple embroidered border.
Colours red, blue and greens.
Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-9.
Signed and dated
'Maria Wood aged 10'.
A few motifs including flowers,
potted flowering plants,
two diamonds
and a dog.
CONDITION: Fair.
A few holes.
Several stains,
and the sampler is dirty around the edge.
Some stitch losses to the alphabets,
numbers,
divider lines
and one flower motif.
Colours are good and strong with no noticeable fading.
No colour run.
