MOVE TO:
English Victorian beadwork picutre
English Victorian beadwork picutre. Victorian, circa 1880. 21ins tall, 18ins wide, now removed from original polescreen frame.

Colorfully designed with central poppy spray within a border of stylised flowers.

Beads are stitched to an open weave embroidery type material which is itself stitched to a velvet ground which is tacked to a plywood board.

Between the beadwork is green silk and red wool, with the central motif in pink, yellow, cream, brown, light green, dark green, olive, two shades of red, and grey wools
CONDTION: Very good. Ground materials all in excellent condtion with no holes or damage. Some minor losses to the bead work in places, illustrated.

Wools and silks still with colors strong, but the velvet backing much faded from its original crimson
