Unknown date, probably Victorian, circa 1860. 9ins by 8.5ins.

Beadwork Sampler worked on Paper 'LOST'.

Unframed with no glass. Loose with no backing.

Verse entitled 'LOST', reads 'Somewhere between Sunrise and Sunset. TWO GOLDEN HOURS, Each set with sixty Diamond minutes. NO REWARD IS OFFERED FOR THEY ARE GONE FOR EVER.'.

The sampler is worked with turquoise, navy blue, gold and silver beads, on paper.

 

CONDTION: Good.

Uniform darkening of the paper backing.

A very slight patchy stain in the top right hand side, illustrated.

No bead losses. Some of the metal based beads have rusted a little, colouring the backing paper, illustrated.
