Staffordshire Children with Eagle & Lion Clock Group

Victorian, circa 1860. 14.8ins high, 5.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery clock group which features two children standing over a lion.

An eagle perched on top, resting on a shaped base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Tiny flake to girl's nose.

Some paint losses to grapes, ground, clothing and lion's face.

 

RESTORATION. Eagle's head remodelled.

Stabilised and retouched hairlines to left and right sides and to reverse.
