Victorian, circa 1850. 9.8ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth.
Staffordshire Pottery porcellaneous figure with a classical theme which features a lady wrapped in a shawl, holding a cornucopia of flowers, stood on a square base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
This piece represents Spring, one of a group of four figures representing the seasons.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Chips to flowers.
Very slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the top of the base;
shrinkage crack to Lady's left shoulder
and reverse of base;
touch mark to lady's left hand.
RESTORATION. Lady's head reglued and join retouched.
Filled chip to tip of cornucopia
and to one of flowers.
Hand reglued.
