Victorian, circa 1840. 6.9ins high, 6.3ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery Yorkshire money box which features Mexborough Chapel - with the box owners name, 'MIRIAM WINN', printed on the front.
Flanked by two figures standing either side of the front doors, stood on a rectangular footed base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Coin slot to the reverse.
CONDITION: Generally good. Shallow chip inside the coin slot.
Some small flakes to front, sides and reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to left side of roof.
RESTORATION. Two filled chips to front of roof.
Some retouching to flakes to the ochre and green glaze.
