pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 3.7ins high, 3.7ins wide, 2ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage figure which features a ram, recumbent on a shaped base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.
CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration. Small chips to lower base edge and two flowers.
Some small flakes to ram's body and base rim.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the base, ram and reverse of bocage;
flecks of stray green glaze to the ram.
