Jerome Massier Majolica Camel with baskets Figure

Victorian, circa 1900. 9.8ins high, 12.6ins wide, 7.9ins depth. Jerome Massier Majolica figural which features a camel

with pannier baskets either side.

Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Jerome Massier pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: a piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior of one basket.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim of one basket.

Retouched flakes to rims of both baskets,

central knop of saddle,

base rim,

camel's ears,

face and tail.

Filled chip to edge of basket.
