Large Minton Majolica Vase with Ram head Handles

Victorian, circa 1856. 27.8ins high, 13.4ins wide, 8.7ins depth. Minton Majolica vase which features ram head handles and grape vine embellishment.

Yellow ground version. Colouration: yellow, green, brown, are predominant.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1856.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Slight wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green glaze.

RESTORATION. Base reglued and join retouched.

End of one horn reglued and join retouched.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to body.
