Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre 'Leapfrogging Elves' Bowl

Circa 1920. 2.75ins high 5ins wide. Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre empire bowl decorated with the 'Leapfrogging Elves' design, on black ground to the exterior.

'Elves on a Branch' design, on mother of pearl ground to interior. 'Pebble and grass' border to the foot rim.

Wedgwood Portland Vase backstamp and pattern number, 'Z4968 .T.' to the underside.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration. Some wear to the gilt on the rim and the footrim.

Wear to the interior from use, resulting in a loss of the original bright sheen.

Bowl has a good, resonant ring when struck.
