Minton Majolica putti posy vase

Victorian, circa 1864. 11ins high, 7.5ins wide, 4.7ins depth.

Minton Majolica posy holder which features a putti holding a basket, with a quiver of arrows between his feet.



Colouration: cream, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.



Bears a pattern number, '4034'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1864.






Condition

Very good. No restoration. Small flake to leaf in hair.



Slight wear to putti's right shoulder.



KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior and exterior to vase and to base;













glaze run to the ochre glaze.

RESTORATION. End of quiver reglued and join retouched.
