George Jones Majolica Dog Rose Compote

Victorian, circa 1870. 3ins high, 8.9ins wide, 8.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica compote which features a dog rose and scrollwork border.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: green, cobalt blue, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3404 7'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Slight wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: a few small firing pits to the interior.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to under rim.
