Minton Majolica Cockatoo Figure

Victorian, circa 1875. 12.2ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Mintons Majolica figure which features a cockatoo perched on a tree stump.

White ground version. Colouration: white, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1846'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the base;

craze lines to the cockatoo.

RESTORATION. Filled and retouched chips and flakes to comb.

Filled chip to lower base edge.

Stabilised hairline to base and to left branch and ankle.

Retouched flakes to one branch.
