Victorian, circa 1870. 5.3ins high, 6.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica teapot which features a bird sat on an apple.
Yellow ground version. Colouration: yellow, brown, grey, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '8'.
CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. Bruise to the flange.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground.
RESTORATION. Bird reattached to lid and join retouched.
Birds tail feathers reglued and joins retouched.
Two stabilised hairlines to the flange.
Teapot: Good. Slight wear to handle.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim and inner rim.
