
Victorian, circa 1900. 7.5ins high, 5.1ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Jerome Massier Majolica spill vase which features a cockerel/rooster stood in front of the vase modelled in the form of a tree trunk. Colouration: ochre, green, puce, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Jerome Massier pottery.
Good. No restoration. Small chip to base edge at reverse.
A few small flakes to the spill rim and to the comb.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the rooster's chest;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the rooster and vase.
