Victorian, circa 1880. 10.8ins high, 18.5ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Dreyfus Majolica wall pocket which features a mallard and smaller bird.
Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Dreyfus pottery.
Good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Remodelled tip of beak on smaller bird and end of claw on the mallard.
Filled chip to tip of mallard's left wing.
Retouched flakes to smaller bird's right wing.
