Victorian, circa 1860. 8.6ins high, 5.3ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery group with a maritime theme which features Nelson with two officers either side, stood on an oval base.
The piece is titled, 'Death of Nelson'. Dull gilt titles and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.
Very good. Very slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to base front;
slight cobalt glaze run.
RESTORATION: Retouched black flake to Nelson's left foot.
