Royal Worcester Majolica Dolphin Compote

Victorian, circa 1880. 7.2ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth.

Royal Worcester Majolica compote which features three dolphins supporting a shell with their tails.

Colouration: turquoise, cream, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Royal Worcester pottery. Bears a pattern number, '218'.

Condition

Generally good. Small chip to underside.

Tiny flakes to tips of shell and one dophin's mouth.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed chip to foot rim.

RESTORATION. Filled chips to tips of shell.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to shell.

Shell reglued to base and join retouched.
