The one marked, 'Mardi Gras' holds a handled bowl with a spoon.
The other marked, 'Mercredi Cendres' (Ash Wednesday) holds a hat.
Colouration: yellow, pink, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Sarreguemines pottery.
Mardi Gras: Good. RESTORATION: One handle to pot reglued and join retouched.
Mercredi Cendres: Generally good. RESTORATION: Filled chips to rim of hat, fingers and left sleeve.
