Minton Majolica Double Shell Salt

Victorian, circa 1864. 6.7ins high, 7.5ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Minton Majolica salt which features kissing cherubs seated on two shells. Colouration: lilac, brown, cream, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '313'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1864.

Condition

Good. KILN EFFECT: glaze run to the brown glaze.

RESTORATION: Filled chip to rim of one shell.
