Brownfield Majolica Barrel & Corn Vase

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.2ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3.9ins depth.

Brownfield Majolica vase which features a barrel with corn, barley and oats growing up the sides.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, ochre, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, 'G 75'. (attributed to Brownfield).

Condition

Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze;

piece of kiln detritus caught in the rim and handle.

RESTORATION. Filled two chips to foot rim.
