Victorian, circa 1860. 10.6ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a circus theme which features a couple performing tricks on a horse, stood on an oblong base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
Bruise to reverse of base.
Small flake to front of base.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
flecks of stray cobalt glaze to front and reverse.
RESTORATION. Left front leg to horse reglued and join retouched.
Filled chip to tip to horse's tail.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to horse's hind left leg.
