Staffordshire Pottery 'Tom King' figure on horseback

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.6ins high, 5.7ins wide, 2.1ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery figure with a folklore theme which features Tom King on horseback, stood on an oval base.

The piece is titled, 'TOM . KING'.

Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Good. Small flake to lower base edge at front.

Slight wear to reverse and to front of hat.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to base front;

glaze run to boot;

firing hole next to front, right hoof.

RESTORATION. Some minor retouched paint losses.
