Victorian, circa 1860. 8.5ins high, 5.5ins wide, 2ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a pastoral theme which features a girl on a bridge with a hen and cockerel/rooster on either side of her, seated on an oblong base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front. Vent hole to the underside.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. A few paint losses to ground and hen.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front and reverse;
notable crazing;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the side of the piece.
