Staffordshire pottery horse group with girls

Victorian, circa 1860. 8.7ins high, 4.2ins wide, 2.3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery group with a childhood theme which features a lady on horseback, with a girl beside, reaching up, stood on an oval base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Good. No restoration. Small flakes to lower base edge at side, lady's hair and girl's nose.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to underside and lower base edge to front;

kiln soot caught in the glaze.
