pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.2ins high, 4.6ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Walton Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage group which features a couple in front of a bocage tree, holding a floral garland, stood on a shaped scroll work base.
The piece is titled, 'TENDERNESS'.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Maker's marks Walton molded ribbon.

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Three small chips to bocage and 4 small chips to floral garland.
A few paint losses to scrollwork, tree trunk and gentleman's clothing to reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the bocage.
