Victorian, circa 1860. 8.8ins high, 4.7ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a gentleman on horseback, holding hands with a lady standing beside, stood on an oval base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Chips to underside base edge at side.
Small flakes to base edge, one to ground and one to gent's hat.
Some paint losses to lady and gent's hair, gent's kilt, and to horse's muzzle and markings.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to lady's cheek; touch mark to lady's skirt.
