Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a boy and girl each with a begging spaniel on a cushion to their side, stood on a shaped base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition

Female: Good. Small flake to her nose.

Minor paint loss to dog.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse;

shallow firing crack to the base edge at reverse;

shrinkage line underneath the stool.

RESTORATION. Retouched paint loss to her hair.

Male: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: firing crack to the reverse;

flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Retouched flake to collar and retouched paint loss to orange cloth.
