Majolica jug/pitcher with cat handle
Victorian, circa 1870. 8.5ins high, 5.9ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Majolica jug/pitcher which features blossom and berries and a cat forming the handle.
Cobalt blue ground version.
Colouration: cobalt blue, white, pink, are predominant.
Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Light scratches from use.
Slight wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECT: glaze run to the cobalt and green glazes.
RESTORATION: Handle reglued and join retouched.
Part of both front legs remodelled.
Retouched flakes to rim.
