Minton Hollins & Co. Majolica bird in nest tile

Victorian, circa 1870. 7.9ins high, 7.9ins wide, 0.4ins depth. Minton Hollins & Co. Majolica tile which features a bird sitting in its nest.

Colouration: cream, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton Hollins & Co. pottery.

Framed in old wooden frame measuring 10.25ins by 10.25ins. (can easily be removed from frame).

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Small chip to reverse.

Slight wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss by the ochre border;

a few specks of kiln soot caught in the glaze to the front.
