Gustafsberg Majolica vase which features bird with a fish in its mouth.
Colouration: green, cream, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1885.
Generally good. A couple of small flakes to leaves.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the vase;
glaze pops to the base.
RESTORATION. Bird's head and leaf rim reglued and join retouched.
Filled chip to beak and fish.
Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
