Staffordshire Dudson hunter with dog

Victorian, circa 1850. 6.5ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth.

Dudson Staffordshire figure with a hunting theme which features a hunter holding a gun and a hunting horn, with his dog at his side, stood on a shaped base.



Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.





Book reference not found.

Condition

Very good. No restoration. Paint loss to hunter's shoes.



Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to hunter's back;



touch mark to the front of the base.
