Large Staffordshire Prattware-type money box bank

Victorian, circa 1840. 7.4ins high, 5.7ins wide, 4.4ins depth. Scottish Staffordshire Prattware money box which features a bank flanked by two figures standing either side of the front doors,
stood on a rectangular footed base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Tight star-shaped hairline to reverse.



KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;









uneven glaze application to the roof;





flecks of stray coloured glaze;











slightly misshapen.



RESTORATION: retouching to paint losses;







all four chimney pots remodelled.
