Victorian, circa 1860. 4.7ins high, 6.1ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Staffordshire pastille burner which features a two storey house embellished with flowers with an arbour at the entrance, stood on a shaped base. Lilac version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent holes are present.
Condition
Cottage: Fair. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECT: Lid does not sit perfectly on the base.
RESTORATION: Parts of both end walls and front wall reglued and joins retouched.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to front door.
Filled chips to flowers.
Base: Fair. Small chip to one leaf.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECT: over glazed chip to one leaf.
RESTORATION: Remodelled arbour and flowers in between.
