Staffordshire cottage pastille burner

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.3ins high, 5ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire pastille burner which features a cottage with flowers in the garden, stood on a rectangular hollow base.





Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Opening to the reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Small, shallow chip to underside base edge at front right.



Small chip to the blue flower.



Slight rubbing to gilt.





KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;







slight staining to the roof.
