Small Pair Staffordshire girl/boy on horseback figures
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.9ins high, 3.7ins wide, 1.9ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures with a childhood theme which feature a girl and a boy, on horses, stood on an oval base.
Black painted base line. Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Condition
Right facing: Fair. No restoration. Two chips to her hat rim.
Some wear to base, girl's skirt and horse's tail.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to hat;
touch mark to horse's chest;
slightly stained crazing, mainly to reverse;
over glazed chip where horse's front right leg broke off during manufacture.
Left facing: Generally good. No restoration. Paint loss to base line.
Slight wear to base and horse's tail.
KILN EFFECTS: slightly stained crazing, mainly to reverse.
