Staffordshire Prattware cow & calf group

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 5.6ins high, 7.5ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a cow and a calf, recumbent on a rectangular base. Multi-coloured version.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Good. Some small flakes to the cow's tail and back.





KILN EFFECTS: faint, over glazed shrinkage lines to the cow's right horn;



over glazed shrinkage line to the cow's back.



RESTORATION. Filled chip to left horn and lower base edge at reverse.
