Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 3.1ins high, 4.5ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire inkwells with a hunting theme which feature a spaniel with hare, recumbent on a shaped base.
Black and white version. Dull gilt base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the reverse.

Some rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to muzzle.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the spaniel;
slight staining.
RESTORATION: Spaniel's right front paw remodelled.
Stabilised and retouched crack to front right leg.
Left facing: Generally good.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the hare's ear;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the spaniel;
slight staining.
RESTORATION: Remodelled hind left paw.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to hare's body and to top of spaniel's left front leg running over it's back to the reverse.
