Large Majolica jug/pitcher with cat handle

Victorian, circa 1880. 9.8ins high, 6.3ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Majolica jug/pitcher which features berries, blossom and leaves,
with the handle in the form of a brown and white cat clambering over the rim.





Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, cream, green, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Slight wear to the handle.





Staining from use.







KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;



glaze run to the green and blue glazes.
