Large pair Staffordshire St. Bernard's
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 10.2ins high, 13.4ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a St. Bernard, stood directly on the ground, no base.
Brown and white version. Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Tight hairline to the spaniel's back .
Some rubbing to gilt.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to markings, tongue and tail.
Left facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the left front paw;
over glazed shrinkage line to the tail.
