Pair Staffordshire russet & white leg free spaniels

Victorian, circa 1890. Tallest is 13ins high, 9.1ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.



Russet and white version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.









Vent holes to reverse and underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Generally good.

A few paint losses to russet markings.







Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to top of spaniel's head.



RESTORATION: Left paw reglued and join retouched.







Left facing: Generally good.

Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to muzzle.





RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to the reverse.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to right paw.





Retouched paint losses to markings.
