George III, dated 1799. 2ins by 2.5ins wide. 1799 Mini Sampler Pin Cushion by AB. The sampler is worked in a silk-like thread on canvas ground,

in cross stitch throughout, with a brown silk ribbon around the middle.

No border.

Colours pink, green, purple, pale blue and browns.

Signed with initials 'AB' on one side and dated '1799' on the other.

CONDITION: Good.

No holes, other than old pin holes to the silk ribbon.

No stains other than slight uniform age darkening of the ground.

No stitch losses.

A couple of loose and broken threads to the decoration on the ribbon.

Colours are mostly good and strong with no noticeable fading.

No colour run.
