Holdcroft Majolica blackberry teapot & cover
Victorian, circa 1868. 4.7ins high, 6.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica teapot which features blackberry fruits, leaves and blossoms.
Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 04/12/1868.

CONDITION: Teapot: Good. No restoration. A few tiny chips and flakes to the flange (not visible when cover is on).
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the bark effect ground;
a few small glaze misses around the foliage.
Cover: Good. No restoration. Bruise to the flange (not visible when cover is on).
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.
