Victorian, circa 1867. 3.7ins high, 7ins wide, 5.6ins depth. Minton Majolica butter dish which features blackberry fruits and leaves, cow's heads form the handles. Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '496'. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/05/1856. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.
