Victorian, circa 1875. 10ins high, 4.7ins wide, 7.9ins depth.
Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features a cat with a mouse trapped under it's paw.
Colouration: white, turquoise, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '192?'. English diamond registration mark for the date 10/10/1874. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.

Very good. No restoration.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the exterior;
small firing pits to the interior and exterior;
stilt marks with associated star hairline to the underside;
a couple of stained craze lines to the cat's right side.
