Brownfield Majolica grape&strawberry plate

Victorian, circa 1877. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 1ins depth. Brownfield Majolica plate which features strawberries, leaves, grapes and blossoms.



Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the Brownfield pottery.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1877.

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Some small flakes to rim.







Wear to the high points of the molding.







KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the reverse.
